How much is Rory McIlroy worth?
Rory McIlroy has made over $90,000,000 on the PGA Tour, but what is his overall worth since becoming a star in the sport?
When you are as talented as Rory McIlroy, you will not only win a shedload of trophies but also a shedload of cash.
McIlroy won for the first time on the DP World Tour (then the European Tour) at the 2009 Dubai Desert Classic and this victory proved to be the catalyst for a fine career.
He forged his way on the PGA Tour by winning the 2010 Quail Hollow Championship which was later named the Wells Fargo Championship. McIlroy has gone on to win that tournament four times.
He has also won four major titles, namely two PGA Championships, one US Open and one Open Championship title. The Northern Irishman is still in the four-time major winner club having secured his most recent victory in golf’s biggest events in 2014.
Not only has McIlroy excelled on the course, but he has come somewhat streetwise off it. In 2022, he and Tiger Woods launched a tech-infused golf company called TMRW Sports which will subsequently launch the TGL Golf league in 2025.
The new indoor, interactive golf initiative has the backing of Fenway Sports Group, so the man from Northern Ireland appears to be building commercial relationships on the course, as well as more success on it.
2024 has been a year of good and bad for McIlroy. He won his fourth Wells Fargo Championship but also lost the chance to win the US Open at Pinehurst in dramatic fashion, which happened in the midst of a big U-turn in his personal life where he and his wife Erica Stoll decided to stay together after filing for divorce.
Nonetheless, he won over $2 million for his troubles despite another major disappointment, which added even more zeros to his pit of wealth.

Rory McIlroy net worth 2024
With 26 wins on the PGA Tour in 252 starts on the circuit, McIlroy has over $90 million in on-course earnings alone. He has also won the FedEx Cup three times, most recently in 2022 when he banked $18 million.
McIlroy has a long list of partnerships and sponsors, as per his website, which also helps with the bulk of his bank account. He has deals with NBC Sports, Optum, Nike, TaylorMade and Omega.
The deal McIlroy signed with TaylorMade in 2017 is reportedly worth $10 million a year, and this deal allegedly lasts 10 years. It might be fair to say that McIlroy comes under the ‘unlimited wealth’ category of sports stars.
In 2019, McIlroy was named Britain’s wealthiest sportsman aged under 30 by the Sunday Times Rich List, like he was in 2018. Altogether, the net worth of Rory McIlroy is reported to be $225 million.
