US Women’s Open prize money 2024
How much does the winner earn at Lancaster Country Club?
The best women’s players took centre stage at Lancaster Country Club in Pennsylvania for the US Women’s Open last week.
Nelly Korda didn’t win a staggering seventh title in 2024 as she missed the cut, so another star spoilt the party of the short-price favourite and won the famous trophy.
Yuka Saso tamed the brutal challenge of Lancaster to win her second US Open title and just her second LPGA Tour title. You can read more about it here.
Korda won the first major of the year at the Chevron Championship and now, we’re through the second major of the women’s schedule at a venue that hosted the US Women’s Open in 2015 when In Gee Chun tasted victory.
Women’s US Open prize money 2024
Nine years ago, Chun won $810,000 from a purse that stood at $4,500,000. When Allisen Corpuz sealed her first professional title at the event at Pebble Beach last year, she banked $2,000,000 from the $11 million prize purse.
The total purse in 2024 has increased again to $12 million which is the largest purse in the women’s game. Saso banked $2.4 million, more than double the winner’s prize when the US Women’s Open was last at this host course.
USGA CEO Mike Whan announced the prize money for this year’s tournament on Wednesday ahead of the first day of play on Thursday.
Below is a summary of the purse and winner’s share for this season, and a breakdown of previous years as well.
