Frequently Asked Questions about the Aramco Team Series

What is the Aramco Team Series?

The Aramco Team Series is part of the Ladies European Tour schedule. The series features five events, which take place around the world, and at each three-day tournament there is both an individual event and a team event.

When and where will the Aramco Team Series take place?

The 2024 series will see five events played across three continents, and spread out across the Ladies European Tour calendar for the year.

The events are as follows:

  • March 8-10: Tampa Bay, Florida, United States
  • May 10-12: Seoul, Republic of Korea
  • July 3-5: London, England
  • October 4-6: Asia (TBC)
  • November 1-3: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Who won in last year’s Aramco Team Series?

The big names came to the party in 2023. Pauline Roussin, Carlota Ciganda and Nelly Korda were victorious in the first three events of the year.

Xiyu Lin then defeated Jin-Young Ko in a playoff to win the fourth event in Hong Kong, before Alison Lee played her way into the record books. She finished on an incredible 29-under-par to win in Riyadh, taking victory by eight shots.

What is the format of the events?

The ATS has a unique format, with both an individual tournament and a team competition played at each edition of the series.

The team competition sees teams of four, with three professionals (each of whom play in the individual tournament as well) team up with an amateur golfer. Two scores from four count on each hole, with the event taking place over two days.

The individual tournament works as a normal event, played over three rounds with the lowest aggregate score winning. Only the professional golfers play on the final day.

What is the history around the series?

The Aramco Team Series only dates back to 2020, making it one of the newest events in professional golf.

The series had just the one event in 2020, with Emily Kristine Pedersen taking the victory at the Saudi Ladies Team International.

Over its first four years, there have been 20 tournaments across eight countries. Nelly Korda (below) and Alison Lee have both won twice, with the likes of Charley Hull, Carlota Ciganda and Lexi Thompson also being victorious during its five-year history.
