In the 85th anniversary year of the Leeds Castle Golf Course first opening for play, a major recent two-year investment has revitalised the historic course.
Set within the Kent countryside and under an hour from London, the course now has a new 6th hole along the moat's edge and a teasing par three 8th hole, with the 9th hole having been extended to a par four. The course offers spectacular views of the 900-year old Castle as you play and provides an excellent test for golfers of all standards.
Originally built on the 500-acre estate in 1924 for the Hon. Lady Baillie, the then owner of Leeds Castle. Today, the newly re-routed nine-hole course continues to provide stunning views of the Castle with the addition of new vistas, created by thinning out existing overgrown woodlands.
Leeds Castle has been a Norman stronghold; the private property of six medieval queens of England and King Henry VIII; a Jacobean country house; an elegant early 20th century retreat for the influential and famous; and in the 21st century, it has become one of the most visited historic buildings in Britain.
PGA Professional Steve Purves has created a designated short game coaching and practice area and can help you enhance your strengths whilst developing areas for improvement. With many years’ experience in coaching from tour professionals to beginners, take advantage of Steve’s 30 years PGA qualified teaching and playing expertise. Golf coaching is available for groups or individuals in half hour or nine-hole playing sessions.
A ‘One Under Card’ gives seven rounds of golf at Leeds Castle, for the price of six with prices starting from just £70. For those wishing to play unlimited golf, purchase a ‘Season Ticket’ for five or seven days, with prices starting from as little as £295 per year. Both have great benefits and are available to purchase online.
We extend a warm invitation to all golf societies to enjoy our nine hole, par 34 course. Whether you are a golf society, corporate group, small group of friends or work colleagues wishing to entertain clients we can tailor a golf day to suit any occasion. We can put together a bespoke package to suit your day, from greeting your guests to assisting with your scoreboard. We can even help arrange your breakfast, lunch, dinner or overnight accommodation for you if required.
Society Packages: 18 holes, bacon rolls and coffee package starts at £24pp (weekdays; minimum 12 golfers; weekend rate £27pp).
Green Fees: Weekdays from £13.00pp for 9 holes or £22 for 18 holes, weekends and bank holidays from £16.00pp for 9 holes or £25 for 18 holes.
