First Impressions

When it comes to unboxing a pair of Duca Del Cosma shoes, there seems to be a sense of occasion about the process. The box is pristine, and the shoes are covered with paper to make sure there are no imperfections from being boxed up for so long.

As you would expect with such a high-quality product, the look and feel of the Duca Del Cosma Giordano is one of style. The ‘C’ logo on the heel and the little Italian flag on the tongue of both shoes just add to the look, and it is one I really like.

On Course Testing

As someone that has typically worn FootJoys throughout his golfing life, I was excited to see how comfortable the Giordanos would be, and whether they would suit my feet.

I am an active golfer who plays quite a bit throughout the year, and the Ducas have immediately become my dry-weather golf shoe. They are incredibly comfortable thanks to the wide fit (for my big feet), and the premium quality Italian Nappa leather, which is soft straight out of the box, meaning that you don’t need to spend a week wearing them in around the house before you take them out onto the golf course.

The sole is a ‘TR functional cup sole’ and although it is not the thickest (don’t try and knock sand off your clubs with your feet), it provides good comfort and stability. The 5mm square-shaped nubs on the sole of the shoe give you traction throughout the summer months, whether you’re in the fairway or the thick rough.

At no point does it say on the Duca Del Cosma website that the Giordano golf shoes are waterproof. They are light and breathable, which is perfect for the summer months, but throughout the winter, and especially in the rain, the Italian Nappa leather will not keep your feet dry. However, if you’re a fair-weather golfer, or you have a proper pair of hardcore shoes for the winter months, then you can’t go wrong with the Giordano shoes for walking down the fairways in the sunshine.

The 19th hole

Duca Del Cosma say on their website that the purpose of the Giordano shoe is ‘for on and off the course’, and they are not wrong. As you can see from the picture above, I have worn these shoes quite a lot on the course, leading to a loss of whiteness and some discolouration in the leather, but that proves how good they are, right?

Not only are the Giordano shoes comfortable on the course, but you could very easily wear them on a night out, or a shopping trip, and no-one would know you were wearing a pair of golf shoes.

Overall, I very much like the Duca Del Cosma Giordano golf shoe, and it will certainly remain my summer golf shoe until I completely wear them out. They really are just that good!
