Wilson is not here to mess about in 2026. They have refreshed the Dynrpwr Forged irons, replacing the previous model with an updated head and design.
Unlike their recent Staff Model range they released, Wilson has engineered these irons to be more of a players’ distance iron. Golfers who are on the look out for a compact and confidence inspiring head that offers serious ball speed and added yardage this might be the one.
If our first impressions are anything to go by, the Wilson 2026 Dynrpwr forged irons are another impressive release from a brand that seem to be knocking it out the park when it comes to irons.

NCG SUMMARY
The Wilson Dynrpwr Forged Irons are a powerful and highly playable set of players’ irons. They deliver an effective jump in ball speed and carry distance whilst offering effective amounts of spin on shorter irons.
Players will be glad to learn that Wilson has equipped this with a compact head shape. In truth, I think these irons bridged that gap between game-improvement irons and something that offers up a few extra yards.

First Impressions
Just like the Staff Model range, the Dynrpwr Forged irons features a polished chrome finish. I think this shiny aesthetic gives the clubs a premium feel that I feel some miss, but what players’ irons should have.
Although the head is noticeably slighter larger than that of those of the Staff Model blades, they still retain that compact look from the heel to toe.
I think that balance is an important thing for a players’ iron to get right because most club golfers would prefer and benefit from some added forgiveness without it being oversized, in my experience.
There is also a notable offset in some of the mid irons. This can be a polarising feature and won’t appeal to all golfers.
NCG Verdict
The first thing I noticed about these irons is just how powerful they are. I experienced quite a considerable jump in distance gains compared to that of traditional blade irons.
With a nine iron in hand I was seeing carry yardages in the mid 140s and even beyond 150 yards on some occasions. Elsewhere in the range, the seven iron produced carry yardages of over 170 and of over 190 from the face of a five iron.

These numbers show just how powerful Wilson’s Power cup face design is. The increase in ball speed is immediately noticeable, and the ball appears to shoot off very quickly after impact.
The spin rate impressed me just as much. In particular, the consistency of it.
Despite the strong lofts, the shorter irons generated plenty of spin. Even strikes that were slightly low on the face, I found they maintained repeatable amounts of spin and effective descent angles.
Producing fast ball speeds, strong carry distances and controllable amounts of spin is no mean feet.
It’s a balance that isn’t easy to achieve in this category of iron, but it appears Wilson has had no trouble managing it.
Final Verdict
Wilson irons have undergone quite the development in recent years. The brand has been constantly strong in this department and the Dynrpwr Forged irons are no outlier in that regard.
They feel incredibly powerful and suitably compact, delivering solid distance gains, whilst maintaining a playable launch and consistent spin rates.
Factoring in all the performance, the Wilson Dynrpwr Forged irons are surprisingly playable. Players will benefit from some profitable distance gains without having to sacrifice on height or control at all.
Wilson has done a brilliant job here. Hats off to the people designing irons at Wilson.
