Puma Cloudspun WRMLBL Women's Golf Vest review

Puma’s new autumn/winter collection for 2022 Cloudspun is all about keeping you warm this winter. As a typically all-year-round golfer, I was excited to put this vest to the test.

First impressions

For me out of the packet, this is exactly what you’d expect from an Autumn/Winter gilet. It has a soft feel and is very lightweight despite all of the padding you can feel.

Puma has added an inner woven label that reads “Stay Warm Enjoy Golf” which is a great touch of motivation when heading out on a cold winter’s day.

I really like the quilted design of this gilet. The Puma Cloudspun Vest is available in two different colourways Navy Blazer and Black Heather as shown in the photos.

On course testing

On the course, this was a real winner. The vest is so lightweight and easy to swing it. The PRIMALOFT GOLD quilting is used on the midsection of the gilet, this focuses the heat on your body’s core. This means that there is no need to layer up on your arms, leaving them free to move. The material sides offer flexibility and breathability as this is the CLOUDSPUN fabric.

At 5ft 8 and usually wearing UK size 12/medium tops I opted for a medium in this vest and it fits nicely. I found that it sat at a nice length and had enough room to wear jumpers underneath without being too tight.

The gilet also comes with two pockets that are fleece lined which is great for keeping your hands warm between shots. These pockets can also be zipped up, stopping tee pegs from falling out when swinging which is a bonus.

With the gilet being so lightweight, it can fold down fairly small, fitting easily in your bag. Thanks, to the quilted material it also doesn’t crease easily which is great.

The 19th hole

For me, this is a great all-around gilet. The colourways and design make this a very versatile piece for keeping you warm on those chilly days both on and off the course. Coming in at £90 this one is certainly an investment but is guaranteed to be a stable piece in your winter golfing wardrobe.
