Many of you may not have heard of Sausage Golf before, but that doesn’t mean to say there isn’t a buzz around their new putters.

Sausage Golf is a relatively new golf brand that specialises in low torque putters. These types of putters have took on a life of their own over the last few years marking somewhat of a shift in the types of putters being used by the majority of golfers.

Blade users are very much in the minority now. Most of us opting to use something that offers a little more assistance. They are designed to reduce how much the club face twists during the stroke, particularly on off-centre strikes.

Sausage Golf is a brand that prides itself on experimenting with their putter developments. From toe hang to face balanced, their interchangeable shaft positions let golfers alter their set-up.

Here’s everything you need to know about their latest distinctive modular putter designs…

Sausage Golf Modular Putter Designs: The technology

Sausage Golf has reintroduced two of its fan-favourite models in a new limited release. The Boudin Noir and Design no. 2 putters have been reintroduced due to high demand.

The interchangeable shaft module system enables golfers to configure the head to play with toe hang or face balance, while the Boudin Noir can also be set up in a low-torque configuration.

The system is patent pending and is designed to provide a more advanced adjustability. It is their belief that players should be able to fine-tune their putter to suit their stroke.

Forward Press Dot

When the white dot on the grip is aligned over the forward sightline at address, it sets the putter at a consistent 2° forward lean — a small but intentional design feature that reinforces feel and repeatability.

Sausage Golf: Boudin Noir

The Boudin Noir is Sausage Golf’s modern modular model. It is crafted from aerospace-grade 6061 aluminium and finished in a matte black anodised coating.

To help with accuracy it is equipped with a white alignment aid sits on the head to frame the ball at address.

The putters flexibility in being able to be set in either a toe hung, face balanced or low torque setting gives golfers more of a chance of optimising their performance.

Feel is still a big component of the Boudin Noir. Sausage Golf say they have intentionally avoided over-dampening impact.

They believe it delivers a clear feedback through the hands, allowing golfers to better understand strike and contact.

Other bits of subtle detailing include an alignment reference at the base of the grip to support the low-torque set-up.

Sausage Golf: Design no. 2

This was the original model that first established Sausage Golf’s modular philosophy. While the Boudin Noir has a more modern look and design this is very much on the traditional side of putter stylings.

The head is made from CNC milled from a solid block of 303 stainless steel, which produces a denser and more responsive feel at impact.

It features a square topline, a simple white alignment mark and a raw stainless steel finish that emphasises its more stripped-back, toned down design.

Like with all Sausage Golf putters, golfers are still able to alter the shaft position to suit their needs.

RRP:

  • Boudin Noir – $519
  • Design no.2 – $459
