The Golf Trust needs our help. On June 16th at 4.30am a team of golfers will begin an epic fundraising challenge that will see them take on 18 rounds in 5 countries in 6 days to raise £80k. If they hit their target, they will buy 3 more Paragolfers – specialist all-terrain wheelchairs that help disabled people literally rise up and play and place them at golf clubs along the route.
How can you help? In a few ways:
- If The Golf Trust Going the Extra Mile challenge can raise £5k by June 1st Sport England will match fund 50% helping the team to have 10% of their target before the start of the challenge. - Send them your stories. When the team are playing, they want to meet local heroes and people along the route who have interesting stories to tell. These might even make it into a documentary being filmed along the way.
