Mixed events, Signature Events, 54 hole events – there is something for everyone in professional golf this week, but who are our betting tips?
The Memorial Tournament is the seventh of the eight Signature Events on the PGA Tour this year. As always, the event will be held at Muirfield Village, where reigning champion Viktor Hovland will look to defend.
Meanwhile, the LIV Golf League travels to Houston for the first time in its short history. There is also the Scandinavian Mixed, which sees the DP World Tour and Ladies European Tour come together for a week of golf in Sweden.

Patrick Cantlay will be aiming to become just the third man in history to win this event on at least three occasions. He has two top-five finishes in the Signature Events this season, and this could be the perfect place to grab his first win since 2022.

Denny McCarthy came so close to his maiden PGA Tour victory at Muirfield last year, losing out to Hovland in a playoff. He also suffered the same fate at the Valero Texas Open earlier this year, when Akshay Bhatia pipped him to the title. It can only be so long before McCarthy becomes a PGA Tour winner, and with eight first-time victors on tour already in 2024, could he be the next?

Surely, Louis Oosthuizen is going to secure a LIV Golf League victory at some point this season! The South African already has two runner-up finishes in 2024, along with two other top tens. Could this be the week for the former Open Champion?

I am fancying a home winner this week at the Scandinavian Mixed, and Sebastian Soderberg fits the bill. T2 at the Hero Indian Open, 2nd at the ISPS HANDA Championship, T3 at the Volvo China Open and a hole-in-one at the PGA Championship – it’s been a good year for Soderberg so far. 18/1 says he tops it off with a win at home!

Back on home soil, and in good form, Madelene Sagstrom is my pick to become just the second woman to win on the DP World Tour. She is 33/1, and the second favourite in the odds for the women, behind 2022 winner Linn Grant.
What else is going on in the world of golf this week?
There is plenty of other action going on this week, with the LPGA Tour, European Legends Tour and the PGA Champions Tour all holding tournaments.
Following on from the US Women’s Open, the LPGA Tour holds the ShopRite LPGA Classic. Meanwhile, both over-50s tours will have events as well.
The European Legends Tour travels to Greece for the Costa Navarino Legends Tour Trophy, while the American Family Insurance Open is the offering from the PGA Champions Tour.

Steven Alker has seven top tens on the PGA Champions Tour this year including a win and three runner-up finishes. At 6/1, the New Zealander is the second favourite to take this week’s American Family Insurance Open crown.
Adilson da Silva to win the Costa Navarino Legends Tour Trophy with bet365
After finished 2nd in the Order of Merit to Peter Baker last year, Brazil’s Adilson da Silva will be looking to grab his first victory of the 2024 European Legends Tour campaign this week in Greece!

What is LIV Golf?
The LIV Golf League started in 2022, thanks to backing from the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF), with Greg Norman being the face of the league.

What is the European Swing?
The 2023-2024 DP World Tour season has a different look to compared to previous years. Instead, there will be several ‘Swings’.

DP stands for Dubai Port. DP World are the title sponsor of the tour. They are a multinational logistics company, specialising in cargo logistics, maritime services and free trade zones.

Matt got into the game of golf from a young age, following his old man to the local golf club.
