The Best Golf Caps 2025

Titleist Tour Performance cap

4.5 star review

Titleist do a great cap, don’t they? This one is top drawer. The Tour Performance Cap is extremely lightweight and very comfortable – to the point where you’ll sometimes forget it’s on your head at all.

It’s adjustable via a clasp at the back, rather than the hook and loop fastener that can get stuff caught in it, and it stretches beautifully around the head.

This should be celebrated with bunting and street parties. Gone are the days of feeling like you’re wedging your noggin into a vice.

Titleist say this Tour Performance cap has improved moisture-wicking capabilities and, as someone who wears headgear most of the time, I can confirm it’s impressive. I’ve lost count of the number of caps I’ve discarded after a few wears thanks to a very sunny day and a material that’s discoloured far too soon.

Speaking of the sun, the UPF 50+ protection is very welcome for those of us who risk incineration any time the mercury rises. If they’d only included the magnetic patch on the brim and ballmark that comes with some other models, this would be five star.

Even without it, though, the Titleist Tour Performance is a mightily impressive addition to the cap universe.

PROS

  • So comfortable, you’ll sometimes forget you’re wearing it
  • Moisture wicking keeps sweat off the headband
  • UPF Sun Protection is a plus
  • Good choice of colour combinations

CONS

  • Doesn’t have the ball marker that comes with some other models

RRP – £25 / $40

SIZES: One size

COLOUR: Blue-white / Eucalyptus-white / Red-white / Washed indigo-white / White-navy-red / Black-white / White-black / Navy-white

TaylorMade Tour Radar golf cap

4.5 star review

Alongside all of the impressive TaylorMade equipment releases 2025 is the TaylorMade Qi35 tour cap available to purchase.

This is available as 6 different colourways so you can certainly find the version best suited for you.

It consists of TaylorMade branding in the word form logo and the abbreviated version plus the Qi35 badge on the front and side panels, with a moisture wicking sweatband for those warmer days.

The fit is really good, it comes with an adjustability strap on the back so you can adjust to the required size. Admittedly on the sliding scale of sized heads I am certainly down the larger side so a good fitting cap is rarity to be enjoyed for me personally.

PROS

  • Great colour choices
  • Moisture wicking sweatband
  • Great fit
  • Reasonable price for a quality item

CONS

  • The branding on the side might be a bit much for some

RRP – £18.99 / $39.99

Under Armour 96 golf cap

4.5 star review

What you look for in a cap is a sleek design, and for it to be comfortable and breathable on your head during a round of golf. The woven fabric, made entirely from polyester, is durable and long-lasting, while being extremely comfortable. The design features the Under Armour logo on the front, with the UA Golf logo branded on the left side of the cap.

As with all caps, the 96 Cap from Under Armour is adjustable, thanks to the Velcro strap, with a hook and loop closure, at the back of the design. For less than £20, the UA 96 Cap is a great deal, and will keep you looking stylish out on the course this summer.

J.Lindeberg Angus golf cap

4.5 star review

There’s a lot to be said for a classic golf cap. No big bills, no weird styling, just a great fit and a logo. J Lindeberg have done a great job of just making simple excellent with their Angus model.

I’ve got cupboards full of caps but this one will stay the course. It’s sturdy, without being heavy. It sculpts around the skull without pressing into it. The adjustable band – much preferred to a strip-away fabric – is easy to move and doesn’t stick (a frequent problem with this design).

The raised Lindeberg logo is very cool and the sweat band seems durable enough. This will get a real test – and particular the lighter colour versions – through the summer. I’ve ruined too many caps in 75 degrees! But the initial signs are very good.

PROS

  • Very comfortable
  • Easily adjustable
  • Fast drying

CONS

  • Will need to keep an eye on lighter colours in very hot weather

J.Lindeberg Hennric golf cap

5 star review

The one sure sign of a great golf cap is if you’re prepared to wear it off course too – and that’s definitely the case with J Lindeberg’s Hennric model.

Slightly more heavy duty than the Angus, it’s still more than able to deal with 75 degrees and above thanks to a breathable fabric and ventilation holes at the back.

Lindeberg say these have been laser cut – maybe you’ll understand more about the significance of that than I – but donning this during an unusually warm spring day, it was comfortable, held the heat away, and dried impressively quickly as I got into a sprint through several groups on the fairways at St Andrews.

Its straightforward styling, an embroidered logo which is repeated around the front of the bill, was attractive enough that it stayed on for the evening festivities too. A result all round.

  • Cool design
  • Well ventilated
  • Stylish off course and on

Calvin Klein golf cap

4.5 star review

I must confess I’m not a big cap wearer out on the golf course. But with summer coming up and hopefully the sun pops out once in a while it’s probably the best time to start wearing them.

That being said, I do wear a cap at times away from the golf course and this is perfectly suited for everyday use or to take on your summer holiday. As far as its golfing capabilities go, it is fitted with a padded sweatband inside which maximises comfort.

Aesthetically, I also like how the branding isn’t too in your face and doesn’t engulf the whole front of the cap, although some colour or patterning would add some vibrancy.

PROS

  • Smart, clean look
  • Branding isn’t overly big
  • Comfortable

CONS

  • Design may be a touch basic for some

RRP – £19.99

COLOUR: Navy / White

Oscar Jacobson Hornsey golf cap

4.5 star review

Very comfortable and breathable.

Great quality, certainly against other golf caps.

I’m not usually a cap wearer due to size and comfort issues but had no issues with this one.

Also comes with a magnetic ball marker, which is a nice touch for someone who always loses them throughout a round. Now I can easily provide a marker to playing partners rather than the other way round!

Still not a convert to wearing a cap when I play but this comes close in terms of feel, quality and convenience.

For me the branding is a little too prominent, therefore some people might prefer a more understated and/or modern look.

PROS

  • Magnetic ball marker
  • Excellent quality
  • Stylish with the curved peak
  • Comfortable

CONS

  • Branding is quite prominent. Some people might prefer something more understated

Nike Cap Structured Swoosh S2 – Club Cap

5 star review
best golf caps

Reviewed by Steve Carroll

How many caps must Nike sell in a year? So you’d expect them to be pretty good at it and the new Club Cap will deliver handsomely for most golfers.

Anyone who is not a fan of the big brim, New Era-style offerings, will find lots to love about this. It really is a classic and simple design.

Plain black with the distinctive swoosh in embroidered white, there’s plenty of give in the back fabric and that makes it very comfortable to wear.

Dry Fit will protect in the rain, as well as stopping your head from sweating buckets in the summer.

All in all, a very impressive piece of headwear.

Puma P Golf Cap X

5 star review
best golf caps

Reviewed by Matt Coles

I have never been a cap wearer on the golf course. That is just me, but Puma does speak to me with the P Golf Cap.

It is smart, very smart and I like how the black P contrasts on this cap that is 99% white.

I would describe the design as a masterstroke as the Puma P sticks out extremely well, on its own at the front of the item.

You can’t fault this cap for comfort, and you can’t really fault it any way at all.

It serves full purpose in terms of comfort and look, and I can say that these caps are extremely popular. Not a time goes by when I’m at a golf course and I don’t see one of the P Golf Caps bobbing around on someone’s head.

Although I like the colour, I get why a cap that is essentially pure white wouldn’t suit the eye of some golfers who worry about getting things dirty in the winter. This can happen and it can be an issue with other golf products such as white golf shoes. If you can see past this issue, then I don’t see why you wouldn’t want to wear the P Golf Cap.

PROS

  • The colour scheme is smart
  • The contrasting black P looks good on white
  • These hats are very popular

Oscar Jacobson Lynton golf cap

5 star review
best golf caps

Reviewed by Steve Carroll

There is a lot that go wrong with a cap. Get the fabric wrong and your head can overheat in the summer. Too flimsy and it’s pointless at the first sign of a shower.

Oscar Jacobson’s Lynton Cap, though, is a triumph on all fronts. Its textured fabric feels premium. It’s breathable and sturdy enough that it fits well on the head, but the small concentration of elastane allows it to move a little if required.  That makes it a firm, but comfortable, wear.

I’m a big fan of the embossed logo in the centre – classy without being ostentatious – and the stitching is very high quality indeed. This is clearly a cap that is built to last.

I would usually prefer a cap that easier to adjust, rather than feeding material through a clasp, but this is personal preference. It doesn’t alter what is an impressive piece of headwear.

PROS

  • Textured and breathable fabric is premium
  • Good fit
  • Smart embossed logo

CONS

  • Could be easier to adjust

RRP – £24.99 – now £17.99

Stuburt Devon golf cap

5 star review
best golf caps

Reviewed by Gillon Fabbroni

I have accumulated several caps over my golfing life but this is the first cap that has some water resistance.

I reviewed the black Devon cap. It has a curved peak, which I tend to prefer and will suit most people.

It has a sleek looking black raised logo. It comes in one size but is adjustable.

Other features include an inner sweat band and 6 air holes.

It’s looks and features belie its very reasonable price.

I’m not a dedicated cap wearer but I really liked this and the fact that it has some water resistance is a bonus – the bucket hat might be not required anymore!

I am not an avid cap wearer but as soon as I took the Stuburt Rosefinch cap out of the package I was impressed. As caps go, is up there with the best I have tried.

It is 100% nylon and is lightweight, water-resistant and breathable. All these make this a versatile option. It is of course adjustable as it comes in one size. It has a clean looking raised silicon logo at the front.

Overall, this is a classy-looking and functional cap. It comes in a multitude of colours and is competitively priced.

Ping ball marker cap

5 star review
best golf caps

Reviewed by Dan Murphy

Caps are reached for on a need-to-wear basis for me, mainly on account of having a very large head that needs no further attention to be brought to it.

I carry this in my Golf Survival Bag, which lives in my car boot, and it comes out when the weather demands it. Typically, that is on a hot day when I am looking for shelter from the sun.

This is a winner for me because it is extremely light and also breathable, the kind of hat that even I can forget I am wearing. That’s important because I can find caps distracting as I am unused to the peak appearing in my peripheral vision at various times as I swing.

I have also found that I am able to get a really comfortable fit – snug but not excessively tight, making this a really valuable accessory to have at my disposal.

Under Armour Driver Rain Stretch Fit Cap

5 star review
best golf caps

Reviewed by Max McVittie

A waterproof baseball style golf cap? Yes please.

I don’t usually wear a cap unless it’s overly sunny and I’m always apprehensive about wearing one when in the winter or when there’s a solid chance of rain. Often, I found my caps will get ruined in wet conditions and be a soaked through.

This is 100% waterproof guaranteed and exactly the cap needed during winter. Its stretch properties meant it fit nicely enough.

I do think the styling is a bit basic, but it would go with a variety of different outfits, so it is versatile in a fashion sense.

For those who want a sleek looking cap then this is perfect. Looks professional and classy, whilst incorporating modern technologies for improved performance benefits.

Galvin Green Sandford Cap

5 star review

Just when you thought Galvin Green had given you all the help they could offer, along comes the Sanford cap that offers many of the same pieces of attention to detail and quality that sum up the Swedish brand.

The Sanford looks – and is – a simple piece of headwear. It’s a single-colour cap available in anything from a classy white to a very-much-out-there lime green.

But it’s also remarkably light while holding its shape for wear after wear and even offers UV protection against the strength of the sun.

Adjustable to the shape and size of your head, you are guaranteed to establish the perfect fit so you can concentrate on your game.
