Avoid tilted shoulders

Not many people realise the importance of shoulders in the putting stroke. If they are incorrectly tilted (like in the picture) it is incredibly hard to swing the putter with a pendulum motion without having to manipulate the club with your hands.

Hip to be square

To help fix this, use an alignment stick and practise in front of a mirror, aiming to level your shoulders with the ground. This will make your takeway and stroke smoother and controlled.
