OPEN GOLF LIVE: Tiger Woods hole by hole
Follow Tiger's progress every step of the way
2nd hole. Woods is really having a go here. Tries to launch a 5-iron onto the green but it goes left and ends up in one of the 206 bunkers which can be found at Royal Lytham and St Annes.
2nd hole. After a solid par at the first, Tiger really climbs into the tee shot on the second. Avoids trouble as well so will have a clean shot when he arrives at his ball. The final pairing are now out and we're getting closer to discovering the winner of the 2012 British Open.
1st hole. It is indeed a par for Tiger on the first, but he nearly proved me wrong with a simply wonderful chip to within two feet of the hole. A solid start.
1st hole. He's away. Tiger is away. But his round starts with a very ordinary tee shot which runs off the back of the green. There are many holes at Lytham which are more difficult than the first, but it seems as though Woods won't collect anything better than par there today.
Pre Round. Tiger is currently on the range and wielding a driver. He's stayed away from it all week but is this the first glimpse that we might see the 14-time major champion taking some risks in order to carve his way into Open contention?
Come back shortly ahead of Tiger teeing off at 1420 (0920 ET) to see if Major No 15 will arrive today.
Tiger starts the final day six shots behind but with only two players (Snedeker and McDowell) between him and the leader, Adam Scott. Will he persevere with same cautious strategy of the first three days or will conditions and circumstance dictate otherwise?
