Bubba's US Open hybrid
Masters champion Bubba Watson ordered a hybrid designed to keep him out of the trees at Olympic this week....
Bubba Watson and the stick-thin fairways of the Olympic Club don't go hand in hand - especially with the graduated rough that can really sting players when they hit a wayward one.
To ensure he doesn't rule himself out with poor off-the-tee play, Bubba Watson asked Ping's tour technicians to build him an i20 hybrid, which he will test today and tomorrow before making a decision Thursday.
Ping posted a picture of the order form for the club, which has 21˚ of loft and a Dynamic Gold X100 steel shaft, on Twitter.
