Big shake-up for Westwood

The Englishman has sacked both his coach and temporary caddie
Following his disappointing missed cut at the PGA Championship, Lee Westwood has announced he has parted ways with both his coach and caddie.

The Englishman carded rounds of 75 and 77 to finish way off the pace at Kiawah Island and see yet another year pass without Major silverware.

His frustration has seen him sack temporary caddie Mike Waite and finish his tutelage with renowned English coach Pete Cowen, who also works with Graeme McDowell and Louis Oosthuizen.

Westwood's regular caddie Billy Foster is currently injured and returns in May. Alvaro Quiros' looper Mike Kerr will work with Lee until then.

Westwood's coach, Andrew 'Chubby' Chandler, said the changes are designed to improve his chances of winning that elusive Major.

"Lee admits he needed to shake things up," he said.

"He'd lost his focus and his enthusiasm a bit."
