Cobra's Orange AMP driver
In honour of Rickie Fowler's love of orange, Cobra have released a limited edition driver...
Five years ago, the most exotic colour a driver came in was grey.
Nowadays, though, you can pick from a wide range of colours, including silver, white, red - and even pink!
Cobra have added a new colour to the equation, inspired by their top staffer Rickie Fowler, who is known for his vibrant outfits and outlandish style.
Every time he makes the cut in a tournament, he wears deep orange to salute his beloved Oklahoma State university.
To quote Rolf Harris, can you guess what it is yet? Yes, the brand have launched a driver with an orange crown.
The limited edition Cobra AMP features all the same features as the standard driver, as well as a top-end shaft and grip - the Diamana Whiteboard that Fowler uses, and a Lamkin 3Gen, both of which feature the same vibrant orange colour as the head.
“It was a lot of fun working with the Cobra research and development team on this driver,” said Rickie Fowler.
“We had a few rounds of samples until we found the right Sunday Orange color and then we decided to use the same shaft I play on Tour. It has been performing great in testing and has a cool new look and edge to it. I think fans will love it.”
Expect to see it in shops this Autumn retailing for £329.
