Waterfront Golf is a fantastic golf facility in the heart of South Yorkshire, conveniently located just five minutes from junction 36 of the M1.

It is set in 170 acres of beautiful established parkland and takes in breathtaking views of the surrounding old moor nature reserve and Manvers lake.

It is a nine-hole course but the fact it has 18 distinct tees makes it feel and play like a full-size layout.

Indeed, there is almost always significant difference in the length of the holes, so you are hitting different clubs into different greens.

The second nine is nearly 200 yards longer. For example, the 2nd is a tough par 4 at 442 yards but the 11th is a reachable par 5 at 470 yards for longer hitters the second time you go round.

Golfers in the Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster and Sheffield area would be wise to make a visit to Waterfront Golf to check out the course and the facilities.

The course has three pars 5s and five par 4s of 420 yards and above, while the par 3s are also no pushover with the 4th stretching to 207 yards – and 16 yards further on the second nine – and the 15th at 173 yards.
