Plan a trip to Lytham

Let Lytham Golf Breaks plan your trip to this fabulous town
The north-west of England is the focus of the golfing world several times a decade when The Open arrives in this area of celebrated links.

In 2012 it will be Lytham which is the centre of attention. And while the star attraction in this pretty Lancashire town is undoubtedly Royal Lytham & St Annes, there are other courses which make this ideal for a fantastic golf break.

Lying within a four mile radius of the Edwardian Town of St Annes on Sea these courses – along with its many restaurants, pubs, cafe bars and hotels – it is perfect for a quality, hassle-free short golf holiday.

St Annes Old Links one of the top 100 courses in the country and is often used for major amateur events as well as Final Open Qualifying, a role that it will next fulfil in 2012 when the Open is in town.

St Annes Old Links is a true championship seaside links of 6,941 yards – and Bobby Jones enjoyed the 9th green so much he reportedly took measurements of it so he could replicate it in America.
Lytham Golf Breaks can put together various packages to suit all itineraries and all budgets.
Fairhaven is another top 100 contender and is famous for its revetted bunkers – of which there are 128 waiting to snare you.

The Fairhaven Trophy is an annual early-season event which attracts many European visitors to the north west every year in an attempt to conquer this course and lift the prestigious trophy.

This beautiful semi-links course takes its emblem from the friendly pheasants you will find strutting around the course. Peace and tranquility assured, not a road or house can be seen from the course.

Lytham Green Drive is a fine parkland which is picturesque and boasts tremendous wildlife, ponds and tree-lined fairways.

Green Drive has a reputation as probably the friendliest and most sociable golf club on the Fylde. The course is ideal for visitors – flat, pleasant parkland, but a bit more testing than you would expect.

These courses and the cafe culture make Lytham St Annes the best place in England to bring a golf society or group.

And it gets better; there is a respected, experienced company waiting to organise a great-value trip to the area. Lytham Golf Breaks can put together various packages to suit all itineraries and all budgets – with three courses and two nights' accommodation available from as little as £169 per person.
