RBC Heritage Golf Betting Tips – Who wins at Hilton Head?

The RBC Heritage is the next Signature Event on the PGA Tour, and there is plenty more action in the world of golf, but who are our betting tips?

1969 saw the inaugural edition of the RBC Heritage, and it is a tournament that is steeped in history. England’s Matt Fitzpatrick will be looking to defend the title after beating Jordan Spieth in a playoff last year.

As always, Harbor Town Golf Links at Hilton Head Island will play host to the tournament, which will feature a strong field thanks to it being a Signature Event on the PGA Tour.

Ludvig Aberg @ 14/1 with bet365

The rise to stardom has been stratospheric for Ludvig Aberg. It has not even been a year since the Swede turned professional, and he already has wins on the DP World Tour and PGA Tour, along with playing for the winning European team at the Ryder Cup. Last week, in his major debut, he finished 2nd at the Masters.

The sky is the limit for Aberg, and with more tight fairways and small landing zones to deal with at Harbor Town this week, I fancy the Swede to win his biggest title yet! He is 14/1 to take the victory.

Tommy Fleetwood @ 20/1 with bet365

Could this be the week? We’ve all been waiting so long for Tommy Fleetwood to finally get over the line and win on the PGA Tour…

The Englishman pieced together a sublime final round at The Masters to move into a tie for 3rd come the end of Sunday’s play. At 20/1, he is one of the favourites to win on Hilton Head Island, and this could well be the time that he finally gets that weight of his shoulders.

Unsurprisingly after his three big wins in 2024, Scottie Scheffler is the favourite for the title at just 4/1. However, with wife Meredith about to give birth to their first child, we could see the World No 1 withdraw from this week’s event at any point.

What else is going on in the world of golf this week?

There is plenty of action taking place around the world this week, including a second PGA Tour event.

The Corales Puntacana Championship makes it a double-event week on the PGA Tour, while there is also action on the Asian Tour, Ladies European Tour and the Champions Tour.

The Saudi Open presented by PIF is the Asian Tour offering this week. The Ladies European Tour (LET) moves to South Africa after a couple of weeks in Australia, with the Joburg Ladies Open. There is also PGA Champions Tour action, with the Invited Celebrity Classic.

Who will take victory at these tournaments? Check out our picks for success below…

Nicolai Hojgaard @ 16/1 to win the Corales Puntacana Championship with bet365

Nicolai Hojgaard put in a stunning debut performance at the Masters, which saw the Dane lead at one point during the third round. Although he dropped into a tie for 16th come the end of Sunday’s play, he will have plenty of confidence going to the Dominican Republic this week. At 16/1, Hojgaard is a great shout for victory.

Andy Ogletree @ 40/1 to win the Saudi Open presented by PIF with bet365

At 40/1, Andy Ogletree is a great shout this week. The 2019 US Amateur Champion has won three times on the Asian Tour over the last two years, with all three of those coming in the International Series. He won the International Series Order of Merit last year, and although his form has not been the best this season, Ogletree will make a glorious return in Saudi Arabia this week.

Cara Gorlei @ 20/1 to win the Joburg Ladies Open with bet365

After winning for the first time on the Ladies Sunshine Tour at the weekend, Cara Gorlei is one of the favourites to go back-to-back and claim a first Ladies European Tour this week on home soil in Johannesburg. She is 20/1, and well worth a few quid for victory.

Vijay Singh @ 33/1 to win the Invited Celebrity Classic with bet365

Vijay Singh

The 2000 Masters Champion returned to Augusta National this week and was one of three players over the age of 50 (Phil Mickelson, Jose Maria Olazabal) to make the cut. He finished the week with a level par round of 72, and can take that forward into the Invited Celebrity Classic this week. At 33/1, there’s some good money to be won on the Fijian.

Mention a European country, and Matt will tell you which resorts make the National Club Golfer Top 100s: European Resorts list. He might even throw in who designed the golf course and how many rooms the hotel has got at each one…

Matt got into the game of golf from a young age, following his old man to the local golf club. He fell for the sport, and now can’t seem to go a day without thinking about how to improve his game (Thanks Dad!). Matt has been a member of Howley Hall GC in Leeds since 2020, and is just about managing to maintain a single-figure handicap. He likes to remind people that he once broke 75, but won’t tell people that it was on a shortened course during the winter.

He moved to Leeds after graduating from the University of Central Lancashire with a First Class Honours degree in Sports Journalism. Matt joined NCG after almost five years travelling the world with the Professional Squash Association, working on events in all four corners of the globe.

Matt currently plays a Cobra King LTDx driver and RadSpeed 3-wood. TaylorMade monopolise the rest of his bag, with a SIM UDI, M5 irons and both Milled Grind and HI-TOE wedges, along with a Monza Redline putter. He uses a Vice Pro Plus golf ball, because he’s a bit different…

Away from golf, Matt is a Manchester United fan, and a keen runner, having ran the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon (his first and possibly last), in May 2023.
