The most successful golf balls at The Masters

Which golf balls claimed top 5 finishes at Augusta? Paul Miller kept track so you don’t have to

Just as we seemed set for another thrilling finish at Augusta, Amen Corner struck and dashed the hopes of Ludwig Aberg, Collin Morikawa, and then Max Homa. Scottie Scheffler was left standing and showed exactly why he is World Number 1 and claimed his second Green Jacket. Scottie seemed to have his ball on a rope and managed to get to the pins when others were scrambling around for par, bogey, or worse.

But what balls were the top five players playing over the week? Below shows what the final five were teeing up and how it changed throughout the week. Titleist was a consistent presence amongst the top five, with Callaway appearing in the early rounds before being replaced by TaylorMade in the latter stages.

Top 5 Golf Balls Used At The Masters

1) Scottie Scheffler – Titleist Pro V1

Despite being a TaylorMade staffer, Scheffler has stuck with his trusty Pro V1 golf ball, which he has been using back since his 2013 U.S. Junior Amateur victory.

Titleist is currently running a 4 for 3 offer, so it is a great time to purchase if you are a Pro V1 player or want to see if they might rub the Scheffler magic off on your game.

2) Ludwig Aberg – Titleist Pro V1x

Titleist is also the ball of choice for Ludwig Aberg, with the Pro V1x version, which he hit 281 times around Augusta National during tournament play. Though succumbing to Amen Corner on the final day, in particular the water on the 11th hole, there is little doubt that he will continue to climb the world rankings, and it is only a matter of time before he features in the Top 5 of those as well.

The Pro V1x is also currently on a 4 for 3 offer, so get in while stock lasts.

3) Tommy Fleetwood – TaylorMade TP5x Pix

Tommy had a great week at Augusta and finished it off with a 69 on Sunday, the second-lowest round of the day.

Some of you might also have spotted the peach logos on his ball, which formed the limited edition offering from TaylorMade during Augusta week.

This is a Masters edition of TaylorMade’s regular TP5x Pix golf ball. If you want to try Tommy’s ball of choice, it is currently on offer at £37.99 per dozen. If you are after his peach golf balls, you can get them directly from TaylorMade, whether you are based in the UK, US, or Europe.

3) Collin Morikawa – TaylorMade TP5x

Collin Morikawa had been somewhat under the radar during the week but made his move on Saturday after a superb round of 69.

Like Aberg, he succumbed to the water at the 11th hole, but it was good to see Collin back amongst the leaders contending at a Major.

Like Fleetwood, he plays a TaylorMade golf ball, but he opts for the plain white TP5x, which is currently on a 4 for 3 offer.

3) Max Homa – Titleist Pro V1

Titleist Pro V1 is also the ball of choice for Max Homa. Sadly, his challenge also came to a halt at Amen Corner, but this time at the par 3 12th.

Nevertheless, he further established himself as a top-ranked golfer who will no doubt be challenging for future Majors.
