Who Is Tiger Woods?
Born in Cypress, California, Pro golfer Tiger Woods won the Masters at Augusta National. Woods won another 13 majors which made him the PGA Player of the Year. Yet, he struggled to regain his top form after facing several problems surfaced in 2009. Thanks to his victory at the 2019 Masters, the star claimed his first major title in 11 years.

Wife
Tiger married Swedish model Elin Nordegren from 2004 to 2010. But their relationship did not work for long. The pair have two children, Charlie Axel and Sam Alexis.

Eldrick Tont Woods grew up in Cypress, California. He was the only child of an African-American Army officer father. During his childhood, his father used to call him ‘’Tiger’’ in honour of a fellow soldier. He learned to play golf at a very young age. Earl, his father, served as his teacher and mentor. At the age of 8, he became proficient at the game. He went on to show off his skills on television shows like ‘Good Morning America’.
Gold Prodigy
Tiger Woods won several amateur U.S. golf titles before turning professional in the year 1996. After winning the U.S. Masters in 1997, he shot to fame with a record score of 270. Woods was the youngest person at 21 to win the title. Plus, he became the first African-American to achieve this feat.
Later that year, Woods tied the course record of 64 at the British Open. The next few years were even more successful. He won 3 US Masters wins, 3 Open Championship wins, 3 US Open wins and 4 PGA Championship titles.

In 2003, Woods won the Buick Invitational and the Western Open. The following year, he earned the official PGA Tour championship. But he had to face several tough challenges on the course. And during that same year, he got married.

2019 Masters Win
On the 14th of April, Woods participated in the Masters. He completed a final-round 2-under 70 for his first major championship in 11 years. It was the 15th major title of his career and his fifth win at the Masters. This has also revived his chances of reaching the record 18, previously held by Nicklaus.
